FAQ
Shipping
How long does shipping take?
Shipping normally takes about 1-3 weeks for Canada and the United States. International orders may take longer. If your order takes more than 5 weeks to arrive, please reach out to me via email or dm.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes! I currently ship within North America and internationally.
How can I check the status of my order?
You can check your order status through the tracking number provided by the chosen shipping courier. I have no control over orders once they are shipped, but am willing to work with you to find a positive outcome.
Do you do refunds or exchanges?
I offer refunds for ready-to-buy items within a month of you receiving your order. However, I do request that the original order be returned to me. The same applies to exchanges. If you have any issues or concerns with your order please reach out to me as I am almost always able to repair or replace the order at your discretion.
Do you accept returns?
I accept returns within a 3-month time period. Please see the above question for more information.
What do I do if my order becomes lost?
If your order becomes lost in transit, please contact me as well, along with reaching out to the shipping service. While the shipping provider will be able to provide more information than me on the location and status of your item, my primary concern is your happiness and making sure you receive your order or an equivalent replacement.
Embroidery
How can I order a custom hoop?
Please contact me via my commission contact form. I ask that you please provide an example image or two after establishing contact, as well as a brief description of what you would like (fabric, colour, theme, hoop style, dimensions)
Do you only embroider paintings?
Nope! While I definitely enjoy adapting paintings, I'm open to embroidering anything within reason. Please send me clear example images or a short description so I can then provide an example sketch.
Do you offer other framing options?
Yes! My starting hoops are all circular wooden frames; however, I also offer flexi hoops (colourful rubber hoops), oval and oversized wooden hoops, vintage metal hoops, and wooden photo frames.
Do you offer custom sizing?
Yes, I do! While my pricing chart only extends to 7" at the moment, I am open to oval frames as well as oversized hoops (10" -25").
Can you embroider on clothes?
Yes absolutely! I can embroider on a majority of surfaces, provided I have the space and the fabric is sturdy.
How do you care for embroidery?
While I find embroidery remarkably sturdy, it is an art piece, so it requires a certain amount of care. I recommend keeping it out of direct sunlight. When washing garments, I recommend hand washing or putting on delicate as well as hanging them to dry. If fabric appears loose in the hoop, it can be gently moved and tightened.
Do you repeat hoops?
Not often, honestlyThe . This is primarily to keep me engaged and focused on my current projects as I do like to maintain my enjoyment in my work. I have been known to redo paintings if I feel my skills have developed and I usually make a note to contact those who have previously asked me.
What fabric do you use?
I lean towards cotton or canvas fabric due to sturdiness, but I have also been known to use thrifted material and vintage fabric.
Why do you embroider with six strands?
As a self-taught artist and initially taught myself to embroider with six strands, so the habit stuck with me. I've now chosen to develop it into my personal style.
Why is it in a hoop?
The hoop keeps the fabric pulled tautly and allows you to hang it on the wall.
Do you offer payment plans?
Absolutely! While I normally request full payment upfront, if needed, commissions can be split into 2 or 3 payments. Most often I request half payment before starting and the final half when the project is completed.
How do you price customs?
I try to price based on the Ontario minimum wage x average hours worked as well as accounting for size.
